Starling. Page 5 in Marion's Fabric Bird Book

I couldn't let the starling page go without trying to capture the beautiful colours. So I've stitched a close up portrait using some black stranded cotton for the base, all finished off with single strands of silk thread. It will make a double page spread with my previous starling embroidery.
