Foreign Policy for the Middle Class: U.S. and UK Perspectives

As the new Biden administration articulates its foreign policy for the middle class, in the wake of Brexit the United Kingdom is also rethinking its own international trade policy for the first time since the 1970s. How well a country manages to align foreign economic policy, such as trade and investment with broader domestic as well as foreign policy and national security aims, in a coherent way will be a key test in a 21st century marked by rising geo-economic competition.
