Foo Fighters Rare Interview
Following the demise of Nirvana, drummer Dave Grohl turned down offers from both Pearl Jam and Tom Petty and Heartbreakers and instead holed up in his home studio, recording a backlog of songs that he had written. These songs became the basis for the first Foo Fighters album, which quickly evolved from Grohl’s solo project to a fully-fledged group. In this rare interview, Grohl talks about how he’s still perceived as a drummer, his difficulties in allowing others to involve themselves in the song-writing process and the lessons he learned from Kurt Cobain.
