Hot and Fast Boston Butt on the Char-Griller Akorn Kamado

I finally decided to try cooking a Boston Butt with the hot and fast method. So, this afternoon I fired up my Char-Griller Akorn Kamado and slowly let the temperature rise to 280° before I put the meat on. Once it was on, I let the temp rise up to nearly 350°. I was pretty amazed that the meat was ready after five hours flat! Here is the time and temperature data from this cook:

00:00 - Grill 280° Meat 43°
00:30 - Grill 286° Meat 57°
01:00 - Grill 334° Meat 82°
01:30 - Grill 342° Meat 106°
02:00 - Grill 345° Meat 126°
02:30 - Grill 346° Meat 142°
03:00 - Grill 347° Meat 155°
03:30 - Grill 343° Meat 166°
04:00 - Grill 357° Meat 176°
04:30 - Grill 351° Meat 186°
05:00 - Grill 350° Meat 195°

I rested it for two hours, then pulled and tasted it... it was excellent!
