Laminar flow is a type of fluid (liquid or gas) motion where the fluid flows in parallel layers, with no disruption between the layers.
✅ How Laminar Flow Works:
1. Smooth, Ordered Movement
• The fluid moves in straight or gently curved lines, like sheets sliding past each other.
• Each layer of fluid moves smoothly over the adjacent one.
2. Low Velocity and Viscosity-Dependent
• Laminar flow occurs at low flow speeds or in viscous (thick) fluids.
• If speed increases or fluid gets less viscous, flow can shift to turbulent.
3. No Mixing Between Layers
• There’s little or no mixing between fluid layers, leading to predictable behavior.
