Hadrian's Wall and the Steel Rigg

Hadrians Wall was one of the things we most wanted to see in the UK. Went went to Vindolanda first and got directions to the wall from there. I doubt we could have chosen better. We were looking so hard at everything else that we drove right past the wall the first time. Some hikers put us right and in a few minutes we were walking along the wall with the Crag and Lough in the background, . Even though it was mid June the weather was cloudy, cool and windy, just as it should have been for our visit. 2,000 years in it;s still an impressive sight, one we'll never forget.
