Woodturning of a bowl in a burnt oak cube
With an old piece of split oak and a blowtorch I make a bowl with a contrasting design that is brutal and fine at the same time, the mixture of structure and color offers us a modern and rustic work with a strong personality.
Time and patience are needed to make this piece, a long job of burning the wood then a deep brushing to hollow out the fibers, a precise sanding inside and several coats of varnish as a finish.

Avec un vieux morceau de chêne fendu et un chalumeau je réalise un bol au design contrasté brutal et fin à la fois ,le mélange de structure et de couleur nous offre une oeuvre moderne et rustique dotée d'une forte personnalité.
Du temp et de la patience sont necessaire pour fabriquer cette piece ,un long travail de brulage du bois puis un brossage appuyé pour creuser les fibres , un ponçage précis à l'interieur et plusieurs couches de vernis en guise de finition.
