Y/N meets General Taehyung for the first time when he comes at her mansion for some official work. She falls in love at first sight. Later in order to see more of the one in her heart She disguises as a commoner and meets him. Taehyung fails to recognise her and taking advantage of it she spends more time with him not as the Prime Minister's daughter but just as a commoner Kim Woo Bin. He slowly falls in love with her.

But soon an Imperial Edict is released from the Palace. It officially announces Y/N as the selected candidate for the future Empress.Helpless she cuts off all contact with Taehyung in order to not land him in any trouble. On the day of the Wedding Taehyung finally realises his love is the empress now. she wasn't the Kim Woobin he loved but The Prime Minister's daughter. Heart broken and helpless he accepts the fact. He refuses to recognise her and calls her 'empress'.

Even though they keep the distance The empreror soon hears the entanglement of his empress and the general. Furious he plans to set Y/N's courtyard on fire and making it look like an ambush from the enemy. But Soon Taehyung realises the truth and sets off to save Y/N but he is too late. Only thing that remains of her is a letter she left to him before her death. She had already known the emperor's plans and had left a letter for him in the hand of her trusted Maid. The letter started with 'Dear Love'. In the End General Taehyung rebelled in fury and was killed in the resulting battle.. But maybe just like Y/N hoped.. they will meet in the next life..
