What is the fastest and most efficient way to get across Dublin City Centre?

After sitting in traffic one day, watching people walk past us, we wondered would you be faster walking across the city than driving? So we got 6 willing victims to battle Dublin's streets in rush hour traffic.

We had Blake Boland in the electric city car; the Volkswagen e-Up. Paddy Comyn was on foot, walking his way. Lauren Tuite took her Orbea e-bike. Dave Humphries used a high-powered BMW motorbike. Francisco Gonzalez tested his fitness running. Feljin Jose used his Leap Card to get the bus.

The challenge was to commute from the AA offices on South William Street in Dublin to the park-and-ride facility in Whitehall, a distance of about 6km. We left in rush hour traffic at exactly 5.45pm on a Tuesday in early May.
