Setup Google Chromecast to stream videos from any device

This video shows how to setup Google Chromecast using your Android phone or tablet. Google Chromecast is a tiny USB drive like device that plugins into the HDMI port of your TV or receiver. Once setup you can send videos from your Smartphone, tablet, or computer to your TV wirelessly and watch it on the big screen. There are also apps like Allcast that allow music, videos, and pictures stored locally on your phone to be streamed to your Chromecast-connected TV.

Essentially, setting up Chromecast involves the following steps:

1. Plug in your Chromecast to a HDMI port and switch on your TV
2. Switch your TV to the input on which Chromecast is connected
3. Let your Chromecast boot up
4. Install and open Chromecast app on your mobile device
5. Chromecast app should automatically find your Chromecast device. If not reboot your Chromecast (plug out and plug in again)
6. Confirm the code displayed on the TV
7. Setup your Wireless network
8. On successful Chromecast setup the app should confirm and say the device is now ready for streaming

Once your wireless connects you are done setting your Chromecast device. Open any Chromecast supported App on your mobile device and click on the little box icon to send the video to your Chromecast.
