Is 5'9" short to you? (Almost Average Height of a U.S. Male)

I wanted to know this because my Phys Ed teacher said 5 foot 9 is short, which is disgraceful to the 5'9" guys (sometimes girls, but mostly guys) out there in the world. Hey, 5 foot 10 in shoes doesn’t necessarily make up for the under average to average height transition.
