The legendary Irish blues-rock guitarist was recorded live at the London Hippodrome on October 25, 2007. Gary Moore on guitar/vocals is accompanied by Dave Bronze on bass and Darrin Mooney on drums. Moore is later joined on stage with a special guest appearance by Mitch Mitchell of The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Billy Cox of The Band of Gypsys. In 2020, rock icon Jimi Hendrix died 50 years ago at the age of 27 in London. The post-mortem revealed he had vomited in his sleep and choked to death after having overdosed on sleeping pills.
September 18, 1970, was a tragic early end for the rock star that burned bright and faded fast, marking a huge loss for rock’n’roll.
In just three short years, Hendrix changed the sound of rock and roll guitar forever, and five decades on from his death, his decade-defying music continues to embody the same magic that it did and resonate with a whole new generation – a true testament to the psychedelic rocker’s unmatchable talent. - Jessica Lynch
