Laying Down the 2nd Cutting of Hay for 2023 - 31 August 2023

Being near fall, the warm season grasses have come to grow heads. With a couple aces of Big Bluestem and other native prairie grasses heading out, it is time to cut it. I am aware of the foxtail issue with the grass and was most disappointed upon seeing it when cutting it, but unfortunately, foxtail will come into any grass field this time of year.
