Servo Driven Ornithopter & Real Peregrine Falcon
When I was recording this video to demonstrate the new ornithopter, a real peregrine falcon came out of nowhere and buzzed the ornithopter. Watch the video to see the outcome of this epic battle!
The ornithopter uses two Hitec brushless servos to move the wings. Using servos to flap the wings offers several advantages. For example, it is possible to control the amplitude of the wing flapping, and the wings can be used for steering. The tail doesn't move on this ornithopter.
