One of the greatest experiences one can endure. If you enjoy water or boating in any way this is a trip of a lifetime. We tried to average 25 to 30 mph along the way. The longest stretch we had to bring fuel along for is from hoppies to Paducah Kentucky 205 miles. A ton of cool places along the way that would be great places to stay longer. Everything we read before going said to try to plan for this leg of the loop taking 2 to 3 weeks. Well we all work and we cant be gone that long so we planned for 5 days. Many people said we were idiots and it would be impossible to accomplish in that amount of time but we made it happen. Some days we didn't get an early start because we were up late, some days we quit early because we didn't want to sleep in the boat other days we pushed into dark and got up early to push a few extra miles. We got very lucky and most of the locks were ready for us because they knew we were coming. We only had to wait for a few locks through the whole trip. We saw and met a ton of great people along the way even though we were a little early in the season.
Thanks Greg for helping make my dreams come true
