Preparing Your Foster or Adopted Child For Intrusive Questions
If you have a child who is/was in foster care or adopted, it is inevitable that they will, at some point, face intrusive questions from peers, family members, and even strangers about their story. (If your family is multiracial, the questions will come even more frequently!) You can't stop people from being intrusive or presumptuous—but you can, and should, prepare your child for how to respond.
