Dallara LMP2 at Nordschleife Snaking throught Slow Traffic

The Nordschleife ("North Loop") circuit is considered one of the most challenging courses in the world. It is 22.835 km (14.189 mi) long. It has 300 meters (1,000 feet) of elevation change from its lowest to highest points. The race track was built in the 1920s around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel mountains in Germany.
Formula 1 champion Jackie Stewart nicknamed the old track "The Green Hell" due to its difficulty in mastering and the danger that the high speeds Formula 1 cars achieved. Formula 1 had this circuit in its calendar in the 1960's and 1970's. The Nordschleife remains pretty much intact save for safety improvements from its heyday and remains as challenging and dangerous as ever. The circuit is open to amateur racers as well as professional sports car racing with the "24 Hours of Nurbugring" being its most well known yearly event.

This simulated lap in iRacing represents a lap in the Dallara P217. The Dallara P217 is a sportscar prototype built by Dallara Automobili to the 2017 FIA/ACO regulations for the Le Mans Prototype LMP2 class. In the United States, it competes in the IMSA Sportscar Championship. It is being driven in anger amidst "slow traffic" which are Mazda MX-5s , mimicking the myriad of videos on YouTube and other platforms of individuals who take their high powered sports cars during open to the public events and race them at speed while snaking through much slower traffic.
