Depressurizing the fuel system
When removing or separating fuel-related parts and components, it is important to first relieve the pressure. This includes: fuel pumps, fuel lines, fuel rails, fuel injectors, gas tanks, fuel filters, and more. Not doing so will result in flammable fuel spraying everywhere. This method should work for most fuel-injection systems.
