Grid & Bounce | Helmet Cam

Roger didn’t start off in my good books today when I went to swing my leg over at the mounting block and he suddenly moved forwards, causing me to nearly fall off the other side 🙈 Luckily things rapidly improved from there! He was like a completely different pony to last week - bending round my leg, working in a outline, leg yielding correctly, forward going - it’s amazing what a difference a week can make! After some flatwork, we built up a small grid with a bounce which Roger jumped beautifully and I really enjoyed myself today. We had one dodgy moment at one of the uprights where Roger ignored my instruction to wait and threw himself at it full force, but to be honest, I was so pleased with how forward he was and how well he was jumping that I didn’t really mind! Long may it continue!

I’ve booked to go cross country in April, so that’s something to look forward to, as I’m sure you’re all getting as tired of seeing the arena as I am…! I’m also excited to see who I’ll be riding - fingers crossed for Bounty 😂
