I compare my new professional Selmer Paris saxophone against my previous cheap 2nd hand horn.

Pro Sax: Selmer Paris Super Action 80 Series II Jubilee Edition
Old Sax: Dorfler and Jorka "Skytone" stencil (1950's, contractor for Keilwerth)

UPDATE; So when I made this video I didn't have the Selmer tuned up by a technician yet due to covid-19, plus the neck didn't really fit my mouthpiece (i used plumbing tape to enlarge the cork, causing a more spitty sound). Basically around a month later when I finally got it professional tuned up it sounds completely different and a lot better! I also played this using an otto link stm 5 which is a very narrow mouthpiece opening, which I feel limited my ability to be expressive on this beast of an instrument. I'm currently learning to play on a size 7.5 D'addario select jazz and the sound is completely revamped. TLDR: This video isn't accurate and there is quite a significance difference, maybe not $6k but it definitely feels and sounds superior.

I definitely recommend getting a new instrument tuned up by a professional technician before you make any conclusions!
