Acoustic Treatment help for home studios

This video shows you how to use rigid compressed fiberglass board to fix the acoustics of a home studio.

We usually use Owens Corning 703 board, but we found a new material made by a company called Knauf that does a better job and is cheaper! It is called Knauf Insulation board with Ecose Technology. It is two inches thick and has a density of 3 pounds per cubic foot. The board come three ways -- plain - which means it is uncovered on both sides. Or, faced with thin white plastic on one side which they call ASJ facing. Or, with a facing of thin aluminum foil -- which they call FSK. I liked the way the specs looked for the FSK -- so we went with that.

We bought 24 of these panels, in San Antonio, Texas from Distribution International. Total cost of the panels was $258.
