Dr Kat and The Ambassadors

In this video, I’m reading Hans Holbein the Younger’s double portrait of the French ambassadors, Jean de Dinteville and Georges de Selve, as I would a text. “The Ambassadors” was painted on the orders of Dinteville, during his time in England, and is dated to 1533 – a complex time in English and European history.
