Rottal Burn update, March 2025

I've been studying this river restoration site since 2012 with my Abertay University students. Today, we were completing a river habitat survey, repeating the same method we used in 2023 and 2019. By monitoring restored sites over time we can learn so much. The restoration was possible thanks to inspiration from Esk rivers and Fisheries Trust and Rottal Estate & funding from SEPA water environment fund. In 2023 we were awarded the RRC (River Restoration Centre) Rivers Prize.
