In the Wizarding World of the Harry Potter series, Voldemort was the one dark wizard who was feared above the rest. Remorseless and obsessed with power, He Who Shall Not Be Named caused two wizarding wars, led an army of sinister followers, and commanded or directly caused the demise of many witches and wizards.

Despite the wizard formerly known as Tom Riddle’s intimidating power, the Wizarding World included many talented witches and wizards as members. Several of these individuals could challenge Voldemort’s sheer power because of their magical knowledge, their raw skill, or their ability to think on their feet and deploy just the right spell at the right time.

Although the strength of these individuals often came from a very different place than Voldemort’s, their power rivalled his. In this video, we’re ranking the 10 witches and wizards that are more powerful than the Dark Lord.
