Kids Learn to Code with "Playgrounds with Swift" | South San Francisco Library

In 2024, Maniz Shrestha partnered with the South San Francisco Library to conduct an 8-week "Playgrounds with Swift" coding program for 5th-7th graders. Maniz worked with Genentech to secure a generous contribution of 8 Macs and 2 iPads and conducted the program with the help and coordination of Libby Astabie.
Over the 8 weeks, students learned coding basics, conditional statements, loops, functions, and arrays, and developed critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. This inspiring video celebrates the achievements of these young coders who embraced technology to code their dreams into reality.
