Based on the remarkable true story of Billy’s life as a young English boxer incarcerated in Thailand’s most notorious prisons, and shot in an actual Thai prison with a cast of primarily real inmates, "A Prayer Before Dawn" explores the depths people will go to preserve their life and regain their freedom. The film is truly breathtaking between the intensity driven through the camera shots, the powerful connection Joe makes with the audience through the use if his body language and emotion (and lack of dialogue), and the intense nature of being in a Thai prison. The film is directed by Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire ("Johnny Mad Dog") and stars up-and-coming actor Joe Cole ("Peaky Blinders") in a breakthrough role as the real-life boxer, Billy Moore.
