Bikepacking 1000km+ in the Western Australian Bush - Munda Biddi Trail

Spring 2024 saw me take on the Munda Biddi Trail through the south west of Western Australia. Stretching from Mundaring (just inland of Perth) to the south coastal town of Albany, this 1000km bikepacking route snakes its way along technical stretches of single track and leg burning fire trail.

Although the pea gravel is deep and the red dirt leaves you stained, the landscapes and wildlife keep you in awe at every pedal stroke. The native flora is abundant, with wildflowers in full bloom this time of year the colours filled my eyes, scents filled my nose and the hum of insect pollinators filled my ears the whole way.

Taking just shy of two weeks to complete the end-to-end ride, I met many amazing people along the way who I am grateful to have shared a section of trail or a meal in a hut with.
