First Iran Direct Attack On Israel Ends Decades Of Shadow War, Escalation Fuels Nuclear War Concerns

The decades-long shadow war between Iran and Israel is believed to be over with Tehran’s massive missile and drone attack on the Jewish state. The major escalation of tensions has triggered nuclear concerns as one country likely already has nukes, while another is in pursuit of acquiring the weapon. Israel is one of the nine nuclear nations in the world, while Iran is striving to become the 10th despite western opposition. Israel is now mulling a possible response, despite US President Biden reportedly urging the Israeli PM to forgo further escalation. The UN is now “concerned about the possibility” that Israel might strike Iran’s nuclear facilities.
