Our Newfoundland puppies had to be delivered via C-section!

Roo’s babies are here, not with out complications!
Roo was starting to become over due so we needed to act fast to evict them! We were keeping an eye on her puppies on our ultrasound scanner before her impending Vet appointment and we knew one puppy had passed away and we were loosing another heartbeat.
She had an emergency C-section delivering 10 puppies (the sleeping baby had died days previously but it would have been too soon to get them out)

Unfortunately during the hand over of our box of new babies one puppy had passed away- we assumed it was the puppy who’s heart he started to drop. It is a good job we didn’t go in any earlier as we have several small puppies needing extra support.

When the puppies started to fade I was absolutely beside myself, we lost another puppy and one was on her way out 💔 with the help of liver water and tube feeding we pulled her around, we kept the babies at a hotter then normal temperature as the two fading puppies had low temperatures. Thankfully we managed to rally them and we currently have 7 babies all doing as well as we can.
Momma Roo is doing an amazing job and had bounced back fast after surgery.
