The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ continues to show how much performance can be built into a premium family SUV.

Its hand-built 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine is the centrepiece, producing 603 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, or 450 kW and 850 Nm in European figures. The engine is supported by hybrid assistance, helping improve response and making power delivery smoother in everyday driving.

That performance gives the GLE 63 S serious pace. Mercedes-AMG lists 0 to 100 km/h acceleration at 3.9 seconds, a figure more commonly associated with dedicated sports cars than spacious luxury SUVs.

Power is sent through AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive and a nine-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT transmission. Together, they help the SUV deliver strong traction, fast gear changes and confident acceleration across a range of driving conditions.

The GLE 63 S is also engineered to handle its size. AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL, adaptive damping and roll stabilisation are designed to keep the body composed, giving the SUV sharper responses while preserving long-distance comfort.

AMG styling details give the model a more aggressive look, including a distinctive grille, enlarged air intakes and performance-inspired exterior touches. Inside, the cabin combines premium materials with AMG-specific design elements, creating a space that feels luxurious but focused.
