The Clodhopper Cricket has been one of my favorite trout flies for many years. The Clodhopper and Clodhopper Cricket variant are quick to tie and will fool even the snobbiest of trout. Tie some today and thank me tomorrow.

Foam: Hareline 2mm Thin Foam Black
Rib/Hackle: Saddle Hackle
Body: Ice Dub Peacock Black or Peacock
Wing: Deer Body Hair Dyed Black
Head: Ice Dub Midnight Haze
Legs: MFC Centipede Legs Speckled Purple Medium
Sighter: Para Post Wing Fl. Yellow
Cement: Loon Hard Head Clear
