65 L79 Chevelle SS warm start, idle and rev.

Documenting some warm start idling after a carburetor rebuild and much gradual adjusting. The only way to eliminate the rich idle on this 650DP was to lower the bowl level about 1/8" below where you'd normally set it. That is, to my knowledge, a reasonable solution if you have a fuel pump that is flowing a tad bit more pressure than required.

A Holley 650 was the factory carb for the L79 327 so that is what will stay on there.

I expect swapping that old first gen single plane Torker intake manifold for a dual plane will improve driveability.
