91 SECONDS!!! SkyTrain Peak Hour Frequency during COVID-19

Today's video looks at the frequency of SkyTrain during the COVID19 Pandemic. It's crazy to think that even with the pandemic, there are still trains up to every 90 seconds running from Commercial-Broadway station into the core of Downton Vancouver.

About SkyTrain: Vancouver's metro system began in 1985 with the Expo Line running from Vancouver into New Westminster. LIM propulsion and automatic train control were among the groundbreaking technologies implemented. By 1995, the line had reached Surrey. By 2002, the Millennium Line opened up service into Northern Burnaby and back to Commercial-Broadway Station. The Canada Line, opened in 2009, began service from Richmond to Vancouver (although, using conventional 3rd rail instead of LIM). In 2016, an extension into Coquitlam was opened. Today, the system has a fleet of more than 330 cars on the Expo/Millennium Lines and peak headways of up to 60 seconds on the busiest section between Commercial-Broadway and Downtown Vancouver.
