Journey down the Skagit - Hurn Field Conservation Area

Locally known as the elk field, Hurn Field was the first major fundraising effort taken by Skagit Land Trust. What started as 64 acres protected in 1999, has grown to 130 acres in 2020. This property provides an important wildlife corridor for elk traveling from the Cascade Mountains to the Skagit River. The land is also still farmed, and provides a great public wildlife viewing area just off Highway 20.
