AI Powered Threat Detection: AWS GuardDuty + Bedrock + Slack
🚨 AI-Driven Cloud Security Threat Detection on AWS 🚨
Security teams drown in raw GuardDuty JSON alerts every day — most of it is noise, and the real threats get lost in the chaos. In this video, I build a complete AI-powered threat detection pipeline that turns cryptic security findings into clear, actionable Slack alerts — automatically.
🔧 What we build:
✅ Enable AWS GuardDuty for real-time anomaly & threat detection
✅ Filter findings by severity using Amazon EventBridge (only High/Medium alerts trigger automation)
✅ Use a Python AWS Lambda function to process each finding
✅ Send the raw finding to AWS Bedrock (AI model) for risk assessment
✅ Get a human-readable threat summary + exact remediation commands
✅ Post a rich, color-coded alert card directly to Slack (#security-ops)
💡 Why this matters:
Instead of engineers manually decoding JSON and guessing next steps, the AI does
the triage — explaining what happened, the business impact, and the exact AWS
CLI commands to fix it immediately. This is real-world AIOps for cloud security,
not just theory.

GuardDuty → EventBridge → Lambda (Python) → AWS Bedrock → Slack
