It’s safe to say that Jerry liked electronics, he did it as a passion, as his love. Eventually, he quit doing military jobs, and moved into a freelance position with Fairchild Semiconductor. Now, you’ve probably never heard of this company, but at one point they were huge: They worked on the Apollo space missions, they co-invented the integrated circuit, and they were a huge producer of specialized semiconductor transistors. If that sounds like a strange company to bring up in a gaming sense, that is because of Jerry Lawson.
