Cardinal Nichols and Shia Islamic Scholar Syed Ali Raza Rizvi on the Pope's visit to Iraq
Cardinal Vincent Nichols, President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales, appeared alongside Shia Islamic Scholar Syed Ali Raza Rizvi to talk about the importance of Pope Francis' visit to Iraq.
The religious leaders contributed to CNN's Connect the World with host Becky Anderson.
"Unlike the last Papal Visit planned to Iraq, the Pope doesn’t want this visit to be cancelled... He is determined to make this act of love for the people of Iraq," said Cardinal Nichols.
Shia Scholar Syed Ali Raza Rizvi: "Two great leaders - Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani and Pope Francis - sitting together showing respect for one another... more than four billion people should get the message at a difficult time that we should support one another and be close to one another."
