These are the best new watches; which is your favourite?

Christopher Ward recently unveiled new versions of their popular Sealander GMT and Sealander Automatic models. These new-generation Sealanders feature improvements across the board, with slimmer cases, dial refinements, new case sizes and bracelets that feature the new ILink system, which allows you to remove links and adjust the bracelet without the need for tools, just your bare hands. Both models have new lacquer dials too, and if you didn't want plain black or white, there's a whole range of pastel colours to choose from. Then, to top it off, the new Sealander automatic has been given a new movement, the Selita SW200-2 Power+, which extends the power reserve to 65 hours. 

As Official Timekeeper and Partner of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, Longines celebrates the occasion with this new Hydroconquest model. Limited to 2,026 pieces in each of two sizes, 39mm and 42mm, and echoing the vibrant colours of the Games logo, with a lacquered dial in vibrant teal that fades to deep black, while the Hydroconquest inscription appears in violet and the seconds hand tip in pink.

Then we have the new Tudor Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26, the latest model to pay homage to Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula 1 team. It features a 42mm black carbon composite case with a fixed carbon fibre tachymeter bezel, with a racing panda-style dial with yellow accents inspired by the livery of the team’s car. It’s powered by Tudor’s COSC-certified Manufacture Calibre MT5813 automatic chronograph movement and comes on a hybrid leather-rubber strap with a tire-pattern design.

Next, it’s the new Seiko 5 Sports Field, a military-inspired watch designed for the outdoors. Drawing inspiration from vintage “trench watches,” it features a 41mm case with either fatigue green or coyote brown dials, and a matching heavy-duty nylon strap made from Cordura, known for its waterproof and hard-wearing properties. This watch also introduces a bi-directional bezel, a first for the Seiko Field range, with compass markings and enhanced knurling for that outdoor gear functionality feeling. In addition, there are also two new steel bezel versions with either white or black dials, and also a GMT variant.  

And finally, it’s time to jump back on board the hype train, as Swatch is about to release the Royal Pop, its latest collaboration, this time with Audemars Piguet. Eight different variations of the pocket watch are due to drop on the 16th of May. Will you be getting one?
