👦 Our Body

Our body helps us do many activities such as walking, running, eating, speaking, playing, and learning.

Each part of the body has its own role.

👂 Ears help us hear sounds.
👃 Nose helps us smell.
👄 Mouth helps us talk and eat.

Children learn these words by looking at the picture and repeating the names.

💇 Hair

Children can point to their head and say “This is my hair.”

👁 Eye and Eyebrow

I have two eyes.

👂 Ear

Ears help us hear sounds such as music, voices, birds, and many other noises.

Children can learn that we have two ears.

Teachers can ask children to touch their ears and repeat the word ear.

👃 Nose

The nose helps us smell different things.

For example:

• Flowers smell nice
• Food smells tasty
• Smoke smells bad

The nose also helps us breathe.

Children can point to their nose and say “This is my nose.”

👄 Mouth

The mouth helps us speak, eat, and smile.

We use our mouth to say words, laugh, sing songs, and talk to friends.

Teachers can ask children to count their fingers.

🤲 Fingers

Each hand has five fingers.

The stomach is the part of the body where food goes after we eat.

Children can bend their knees and repeat the word knee.

🦶 Foot and Toes

Feet help us walk, run, and stand.

At the front of our feet we have toes.

Children can move their toes and learn the word easily.

Teachers can ask children to count their toes.
