Virology Lectures 2018 #24: Viral Gene Therapy
Basic virology research has provided a fundamental understanding about viral genomes, replication, and interaction with the host that can be harnessed to produce vectors for the treatment of human diseases. In this final session of Virology Lectures 2018, we describe different viruses used for gene therapy, how they work, and examples of their use for vaccines, monogenic gene therapy, and viral oncotherapy.
