Sangean ATS 909 LW and MW bandscan - 14 March 2015

I was looking through an old memory card today, and I found this video. Apparently I recorded it on 14 March 2015, although I can't remember why I recorded it or if that date has any particular significance!

Anyway it is a Long Wave and Medium Wave bandscan, using my Sangean ATS-909. This is a great radio in terms of selectivity and sensitivity, and I still use it practically every day in 2020.

As of July 2020, more of the stations that you hear in this video have closed down than remain on the air - especially on Long Wave :-(

The interference you hear on certain frequencies is coming from the camera.

I hope this video provides a bit of recent historical interest.
