Suburban Train Ride from The Oldest Railway Station of St Petersburgto Pushkin (Tsarskoe Selo)

Vitebsky Railway Station (former «Tsarskoselsky Railway Station») is the oldest railway station in St Petersburg and Russia. Opened in 1837 to serve the very first railway from St Petersburg to Tsarskoe Selo (Tsar's Village) which used to be a former residents of the Russian Imperial Family. It is located 24 kilometers (15 miles) south from the center of St Petersburg.

The current look, the railway station got in 1904 when the new building in a style of ar nuevo, designed by an architect Stanislav Brzhozovsky, was constructed. To 1904 the railway got way longer than to Tsarskoe Selo and Pavlovsk and extended all the way to the town of Vitebsk.

The schedule of suburban trains from St Petersburg to the town of Pushkin (Tsarskoe Selo) is absolutely comfortable. The trains goes every 20-30 minutes and the price of ticket is only 45 rubles ($.58) *April, 2021. The train ride takes 26-31 minutes.
