Precision Time Protocol (PTP) Clock Types
This Precision Time Protocol (PTP) video focuses on the network devices (eg: Ethernet bridges) in the network. The Ethernet bridges can be function as Transparent Clocks, Boundary Clocks or as the Grand Master clock in some situations. This video covers the differences between the clock types, and why a network administrator would choose one clock type over another. An overview of the Best master Clock Algorithm (BMCA) election is also discussed to aid network administrators with their PTP network deployments.
