Veterans Affairs secretary says cuts won’t affect Roudebush medical staff

U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins on Thursday said proposed cuts at his agency target redundant systems and bureaucracy rather than medical staff. Collins toured the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center on Thursday morning alongside Republican Gov. Mike Braun and three members of Indiana’s U.S. House delegation: Republican Reps. Jefferson Shreve and Victoria Spartz and Democratic Rep. Andre Carson, whose district includes Roudebush.
