What is this movie about?
WORSEBEHAVIOUR is the story of a man's hopeless infatuation with a woman at a local cafe and how it leads to them both being abducted by a violent, mentally unstable man. Part thriller, part rom-com, part dark comedy, part horror film.

Who are you?
My name is Peter Collins Campbell and I am a Chicago-based director of films and music videos. I've worked with such artists as Chance the Rapper, Nico Segal, Vic Mensa, Noname Gypsy, M&O, Towkio, and more. I've been writing and directing short films since I was in middle school, at which point in time I essentially tricked my friends into thinking we would be hanging out after school and instead put them in videos I was making. This would continue throughout many years of mistaking productivity for social engagements.

What inspired this movie?
How closely are chemicals in your body like adrenaline and dopamine linked? Adrenaline kicks in when you're in danger or exhilarated, dopamine is linked to feelings of love. When are both parts of the brain stimulated? This film doesn't answer that question, but it definitely could give the viewer something to chew on afterward.

This movie came out of the necessity to do something exciting and visceral to watch, as well as thought provoking. It was also a personal challenge to push my own limits as a writer, intentionally making it short so that I could do numerous re-writes without losing too much time on it.

Why are you not paying for this yourself?
I am! Every dollar I have that is not going to my rent or food (laundry can be sacrificed) will be contributed to the budget of this film. However, even this (relatively inexpensive) little film needs money that a constantly-working freelancer can't raise that quickly. If we raise more than our goal, that doesn't mean I won't be funding the rest myself, it just means we have a larger budget, which will enable us to do more to make the movie even better, so let's try to raise as much as possible!

Is this going to be one of those pretentious "experimental" movies that I'll be confused by the entire time?
Absolutely not. Despite heavy themes, the movie will be a fun ride and the intention is for it to be exciting to watch, and not to confuse or alienate.

What happens to this movie when it's done?
Music videos are super fun to make, because typically, as soon as they're done, they go online and blogs repost them, and everyone gets to talk about it - however although the same thing SOMEtimes can happen with short films, the blogosphere is not quite as adept at short film promotion as with rap. So, unless something ends up changing our minds (blogs/magazines reaching out, etc) this will be headed for film festivals. This means SXSW, Sundance, Cannes, Chicago Film Festival, Slamdance, anything that will be the best fit for promoting the film to the right people. The "right people" in question being people that can help get another project off the ground in the future - as in, a feature film.

We can DEFINITELY raise more than necessary, but if we don't reach our goal, we don't get any funding.
