66 Years Of GODZILLA - Black And White [ ゴジラ生誕66周年]

On November 3rd, 1954 the original Gojira was released! 66 years later, the franchise is going strong with 35 feature-length entries, and that's something worth celebrating! Bow down to the TRUE KING OF THE MONSTERS!
I can honestly say I had no intention of making this video. I didn't think there was any way to top what I did last year. But I was listening to Thunder Porpoise's Oppenheimer's Gambit and inspiration struck. I wanted to make something much more thoughtful and deliberate than what I did last year. I wanted to showcase a different side of Godzilla while celebrating what I love about the franchise.
This is a little more in line with what I had in mind when I started working on this project. Initially, I wanted to make a full black and white tribute to Godzilla using only footage from the 54 movies (with a few additional shots from Godzilla Raids Again for atmosphere). Then, I thought about making a tribute using footage from all movies done in 4:3 aspect ratio while being black and white. I didn't love this idea, as it would have required a lot of unwanted manipulation of the footage. I still felt like producing this version of the video as a companion to the main upload.
