Lesser spotted Eagle Migration

The lesser spotted eagle (Clanga pomarina) is a medium-sized bird of prey found across parts of Europe and Asia. With a wingspan of around 150-170 cm, it's known for its distinctive appearance with dark brown plumage and pale spots. These eagles prefer woodlands and forested habitats, nesting in tall trees. They feed primarily on small mammals, reptiles, and sometimes carrion. During migration, they cover vast distances from breeding grounds to wintering areas in Africa. Threats like habitat loss and human disturbances impact their population. Conservation efforts, including habitat preservation and awareness programs, aim to safeguard these magnificent raptors.
