EvoFest: Evolution Concert Series - Eybler Quartet & Gryphon Trio
*Available until July 25th*
Eybler Quartet and Gryphon Trio present: Visions of London and Vienna
London and Vienna in the late 18th century were buzzing hives of musical activity, subject to frequent cross-pollination. London, Europe’s largest and most open city at the time, represents a particular vision for the composers on tonight’s program, many of them viewed through a Viennese lens. While Haydn’s trips to London are well documented, we invite you to join us for a deeper exploration of the musical exchange between the two cities.
The Gryphon Trio and Eybler Quartets (Wedman, Jordan, Gay) are fulfilling their Evolution: Quartet 2021 online mentoring sessions from Toronto. Eybler violinist Aisslinn Nosky and violinist Natalie Kress are joining from New York City.
This livestream performance will be broadcast specially for the Banff Centre community from Walter Hall, University of Toronto, Faculty of Music and New York City.
