The WORST front wheel bearing / hub replacement 2001 Pontiac Grand Am 99-05 Outter tie rod end too

This video illustrates the diagnosing, review, sensor cleaning as well as the replacement of a bearing / hub assembly on a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am. Also shown is the replacement of the outer tie rod end as that service was happening at the same time, otherwise you should be able to change out the bearing without removing the outer tie rod end from the knuckle. It also should be noted that I offered to pay for a body shop to repair and refinish the fender that I damaged while flailing the 4 pound hammer around.

As you can see, I don't usually use a slide hammer to remove the hub from the knuckle. The hub has just a good chance of not coming out whole either way you do it - as in most cases the reason you are there in the first place is because the bearing is worn / broken apart already. The other piece has to be chiseled out with an air hammer or punch / chisel as seen in this video.

This procedure will be similar on many vehicles, especially the 1999-2005 Grand Am
