*ENGINE SPEC*
In the case of the engine, the new Yamaha MT-15 is powered by the same liquid-cooled 155cc single-cylinder SOHC, VVA engine that powers the R15. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the MT-15 pushes 18.5hp @ 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.8 Nm @ 8,500 rpm. Speaking of the gearbox, it adopts assist and slipper clutch as standard. Assist and slipper clutch reduce the weight of the clutch pull in and provides smoother low-stress downshifts. Aside from this, by proving smoother lighter gear shifts, it helps the bike accelerate quicker too.

*SUSPENSION AND BRAKES*
Suspension duties are taken care of by USD front fork and preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. As for the brakes, the MT-15 gets a 282mm disc with 2 pot calliper upfront and a 220mm disc with single pot calliper at the rear. Just like the Yamaha R15, the MT-15 comes equipped with a set of 17-inch rims wrapped around by a 100/80 tyre up front and a chunky 140/70 tyre at the rear.

*CHASSIS*
As for the chassis, the MT-15 is built around a delta box frame and features an aluminium swingarm. The naked streetfighter weighs 133kgs, which is 4kgs lighter than the faired R15.
